This month’s spotlight features Neuralog, located at 4800 Sugar Grove in Stafford, Texas. For the last 15 years, this oil and gas data analytics provider, has leased office space in Boxer’s Four Sugar Grove property.
Founded by husband and wife owners Ken and Sherry Land, both of whom previously worked for NASA, Neuralog has been providing low-cost solutions to capture, organize, and analyze data for the oil and gas industry over the course of 25 years. Their office in Houston is home to most of their 32 employees, with some staff working remotely.
In addition to the data support products and services Neuralog provides to the oil and gas industry, the company has expanded their operation to include printers and tools that make labels for bottles and containers used in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Reflecting that growth and success, Neuralog is currently working with Boxer to renovate and expand their space at 4800 Sugar Grove.
Neuralog’s Office Redesign and Expansion with Boxer Property
According to Jennifer Sandlin, office manager for Neuralog, the multi-phase plan includes a demo area for customers to experience hardware and software products, as well as dedicated space for new product development and testing. The project also expands the company’s on-site production capacity, with the ultimate goal of running the entirety of both their manufacturing and their shipping operations from the 4800 Sugar Grove location. “There’s lots of exciting stuff going on,” Sandlin said of the company’s plans.
Phase 1 began in April 2019 and included redesigning and renovating the administrative and marketing offices already located on the second floor at 4800 Sugar Grove. Neuralog and Boxer collaborated on the professional redesign, one of Boxer’s many services. The office renovation, which included new flooring and lighting, was handled by Boxer General Contractors.
Sandlin describes Phase 1, which was complete in October 2019, as a good, collaborative effort. Noting that office renovations can be challenging for tenants, she said of the Boxer team, “They were very receptive and gave us quick responses.” She also complemented Boxer’s communication throughout the project, citing kick-off meetings and updates three times per week.
Phase 2 is scheduled to begin October 19th, and will focus on Neuralog’s newly-acquired space on the first floor. The large area will be used for product manufacturing, including a new scanner they will be introducing soon. The first-floor space is big enough to accommodate their shipping and receivables, and conveniently located near administrative and marketing offices upstairs on the second floor.
Sandlin says Neuralog has enjoyed their long-running relationship with Boxer Property and describes their experience at Four Sugar Grove as positive. “The security staff is always friendly, and the maintenance team is always quick to respond.” While Neuralog’s administrative and marketing offices occupy most of the second floor, Sandlin is quick to point out they know their office neighbors.
Neuralog Continues Its Growth Trajectory with New Product Development
This year continues to be exciting for Neuralog. In addition to completing the office renovation and expansion of their Houston office space, they have two new products hitting the market and plans to continue their growth and success by using tried-and-true strategies. They are a strong presence at all the major trade shows; for both the oil and gas, as well and labeling industries. They also utilize their social media platforms on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter to communicate with their markets and stay in touch with customers. Everyone enjoys their special customer appreciation events like holiday parties and old-fashioned ice-cream socials.
