GETTING AROUND DULUTH
Duluth residents and employees are just a few minutes from Interstate 85, which is intersected by three major thoroughfares: U.S. Route 23 (Buford Highway), GA State Route 120 (Duluth Highway), and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The Chattahoochee River forms the northern border of Duluth, with the cities of Suwanee and Berkeley Lake located to the northeast and west, respectively.
THE SCOOP ON THE NEIGHBORS:
The metro Atlanta area is ranked #3 in the nation for Fortune 500 companies and Global 500 headquarters, and Duluth is home to three of them: AGCO, NCR and Asbury Automotive Group. Beyond these larger companies, you’ll find businesses specializing in technology, construction, food production, signage and international services.
Duluth has everything needed to live, work and play within the city. Gwinnett Place Mall, Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center, Arena at Gwinnett Center, Red Clay Theater and Hudgens Center for the Arts provide plenty of year-round shopping and entertainment to locals. Gwinnett Medical Center – Duluth and GMC’s Glancy Campus near Downtown Duluth are the main hospitals in the area. Orthopedic care and sports medicine highlight Duluth’s ever-expanding medical sector, while its restaurant scene blends old-fashioned favorites with international flavors. The foreign connection extends much further than the food, though. Duluth showcases its diversity in the more than 100 international companies located within the city, and the nearly 30% of residents who were born in other countries.
