Getting Around East Hanover
East Hanover is a township in Morris County, New Jersey. The Whippany River forms the west boundary of East Hanover, which is connected to the Passaic River that defines the east and north side of the township. Because of this unique geographic juxtaposition with these rivers, East Hanover was known as “Hanover Neck” many years ago. Unincorporated communities and neighborhood areas (either completely or partially within the township) include Hanover, Cooks Bridge, Hanover Neck, and Swinefield Bridge.
East Hanover is located just southwest of I-280, just southeast of I-287, and directly south of I-80.
