October 13, 2016 (Hartford, CT) – Boxer Property is pleased to announce that Crosskey Architects LLC has relocated to 750 Main Street in Hartford, a building that allows the firm to showcase its unique talent for designing modern spaces that preserve historical character.
“One of the things that really intrigued us about our new office space is, not only is it downtown, but it’s a former bank space with a lot of nice, historical detail,” said William Crosskey II, founder and President of the firm. “We planned our new office, designing the modern features of the furniture and layout, to complement the historic detail and really show it off as an example of what we do on many of our projects.”
Those historic details make 750 Main Street a perfect fit for the architectural firm. Originally built in 1921, the building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and features many of the original architectural details, including arched windows, cast-iron doors, ornamental medallions and much more.
Boxer Property’s leasing agent, Laraine Kulpowich, negotiated the deal with CBRE Broker, Gary S. Schless, and worked with Crosskey Architects LLC to facilitate its re-design of the building’s mezzanine level. The move doubles the firm’s office space to nearly 8,000 square feet, accommodating its rapid growth over the past few years and the expected addition of five new employees in the near future.
The firm spent a significant amount of time and money to relocate to the heritage site and plans to remain there for at least a decade.
