Andrew Segal

Chairman & CEO

Andrew Segal formed Boxer Property in September 1992. Under his oversight, the company has successfully reached into segments as diverse as resort hotels, retail centers, office and other real estate businesses, accounting for approximately 20 million square feet of space across the United States.

He is the co-founder of Stemmons Enterprise software company. He received his B.A. from the University of Southern California. He attended the New York University School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1992.

As President of Boxer Property Management Corporation, Justin Segal oversees operations, marketing, leasing, and technology for a portfolio of commercial property across the country. Justin has a passion for analytics, enterprise data, artificial intelligence, and process engineering. Justin was instrumental in establishing the company's reputation as a national leader in the use of tech for designing, implementing, managing and supporting business decisions, operations and goals.

Justin is associated with a number of affiliated entities, acting as director or principal. Among them are Boxer Finance (commercial real estate lending), CasAlegria (residential sales and lending), Tidewell Energy (natural gas), Stemmons Enterprise (corporate software), Centristics (management consulting) and Odds Marketing (marketing services). Before joining Boxer, Mr. Segal founded a real estate financial accounting software company and spent several years offering counsel to early-stage venture-funded startups in Silicon Valley.

Justin serves on the boards the Lawndale Art Center, Sketch City, and Glasstire, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of YEP Prep Public Schools. He is a long time member of the RealComm CIO Advisory Council and of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (the Webby Awards). He has served on the Houston Education Research Consortium, the Governing Body of the Houston CIO Leadership Forum, and participates regularly with the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Houston. Justin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, (BA) and from the New York University School Law (JD).

Michael Pariza

President - Boxer Retail & Resorts 

Michael Pariza is an MBA and licensed real estate broker with an extensive background in the company's commercial real estate investment, operations and strategy portfolio over the past 16 years. Currently, as President of Boxer Retail & Resorts, he is responsible for the design, implementation, growth and oversight of the Company's retail and hospitality ventures.

A licensed real estate broker in the states of Georgia, North Carolina and Texas, Michael has held several key leadership positions with Boxer over his tenure. They include Broker of Record, Director of Leasing, Asset Manager and Director of Operations. Michael supervised leasing, marketing, operations and engineering teams managing Boxer's portfolio in, to mention a few, Maryland, New York and Texas.

Michael has spearheaded a number of the company's noted projects. In 2002, Michael supervised, leased and operated Boxer Property's first multi-family development. In 2004, he finalized a development agreement with the City of Fort Worth. He then began and completed the redevelopment and repositioning of an enclosed super-regional shopping center. In 2005, Michael founded an oil and gas pipeline and production company to take advantage of mineral rights for a number of properties in the Fort Worth Texas Barnett Shale. After successfully obtaining a gas well permit for more than 80 acres of mineral leases, the project was sold to XTO/Exxon. Michael is noted for his talent at analyzing financial statement for various income producing properties. He has supervised an array of commercial leases for the company's office, retail, parking, multi-family, access agreements, gas and mineral leases, and right-of-way agreements clientele.

Michael has a Master’s in Business Administration from Dallas’ Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the Real Estate Council, the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, the Building Owner's Management Association, the National Association of Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. Pariza is also a Texas right-of-way agent.

 

John Rentz

Vice President and Chief Counsel

John Rentz joined Boxer in 1997. He has been the face of the company in multiple legal forums. He has represented Boxer in numerous jurisdictions in litigation matters, and tried many bench and jury trials. In addition to managing the legal department, he also oversees transactional matters on behalf of the company, including sales, acquisitions, and financing.

John is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Chapter of the General Counsel Forum, the Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Real Estate Council (2018 Board President). He has served as a coach for the West University baseball and soccer leagues. Mr. Rentz previously served on the Long Range Planning Committee of his church and on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the City of West University Place. Alongside his license to practice law in the State of Texas, he has been admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit (1993); the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas (1992); Western District of Texas (1996); and the Eastern District of Texas (1997). He was Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization from 1997-2007.

Prior to Joining Boxer Property, Mr. Rentz was an associate attorney at Baker & Botts LLP. A Texas A&M alumni, Mr. Rentz earned a double major in Political Science and Economics. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law School (graduated cum laude; Order of the Barons; UH Law Review, Associate Editor; Order of the Coif).

Chief Financial Officer

 

As Boxer's CFO, Blake Morris leads the finance and accounting teams which are responsible for accounting and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, loan compliance, lender relations, property tax management, income tax planning and compliance as well as property and casualty insurance.

Blake has 30 years of experience in financial operations and analysis in multiple operating environments, including public corporations, private equity, investment banking and strategic consulting. Most recently he worked for a $2 billion offshore drilling company as their Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis where he was responsible for their annual budgeting and forecasting and led the implementation of a new planning system (BPC). Blake spent the majority of his career as a partner at a private equity firm where he helped invest in and raise financing for 15 portfolio companies across three funds and served on the boards of directors of six of those companies. Early in his career, Blake spent time on Wall Street with Credit Suisse First Boston in their mergers and acquisitions department and he started his career in strategic consulting with Bain & Company in Boston.

Blake holds an MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics, magna cum laude, from Rice University.
